November is "Read A Ballycumber Month"!!! defines a ballycumber as one of the six half-read books lying somewhere in your bed. I won't be that specific. My aim for "Read A Ballycumber Month" is for people to read any book (doesn't have to be one from your bed) that wasn't finished the first time around. And if such a book doesn't exist, to read a book that's just been taking up space on the shelf, that is, a book that was bought or received as a present and has taken forever to get around to reading. I've a few candidates in each category but I'll let you know what I decide on come November.

If you have no books in either category, I'll recommend dedicating your November to the National Novel Writing Month. (If you're really ambitious, you could try both!)

In any case, you'll improve yourself.

Pass the word along!

In one fell swoop you have:

a) taught me a new word

b) inspired me to finally finish a Short History of Nearly Everything

c) made me realize it was time to change the sheets
