Congratulations on the publication of your poem. That's really exciting!
And I love the photo of the road sign. My idea of a road to nowhere is depressing, but the sign looks hopeful to me, somehow. I'm guessing the Road to Nowhere in Iqaluit is beautiful!
Allison: I hope others will remember it now as well.
Cloudscome: Thanks. Just about everyone who visits here ends up with a picture of that sign. Jason Priestly shot a movie here once and that road played a small part.
Dewey: Thanks.
Gentle Reader: You read a lot into that sign, eh? ;) Sometimes, I guess, Nowhere is exactly where we want to be.

Congratulations on the publication! Your poem is so sensitive and evocative. Beautifully done.
If it weren't for your blog, I'd have never heard of Iqaluit. Now I think it's the most famous place in Canada.
Congrats on publication!
I remember the capelin poem well! Loved it then too, so am not surprised that others do as well.
Hearty congratulations on your publication!
And now I am very curious to take a bike ride on the Road to Nowhere, just to see where it leads me.
We all need a road to nowhere. Congrats on your publication.
Hi John,
Love the poem! Just wanted you to know that the link for Poetry Friday has changed. I added a new entry just for the posts. It is:

Thanks!
Tricia
Rob: Thanks! The place it describes means a lot to me, so I'm glad that seems to have gotten through.
Marydell: I'll let the people of Iqaluit know! Actually, the new White Stripes video ("You Don't Know What Love Is") was shot here as well.
Barbara: Thanks. I've driven my bike down that road a few times now. Do you perchance not believe in the sign?
Jone: Yes, those could keep us in check I suppose. And thanks.
Tricia: Thanks and the link has been changed. Again, I appreciate you hosting this week.
Congrats on publication!
Congrats, John!
Congratulations!
Oh no, John, I believe in the sign. It's just I'm not sure I would recognize Nowhere once I got there.
Jules, Chris and Carrie: Thank-you. I'm pleased to say the least!
Barbara: I think I would. I'd even buy a t-shirt telling people I was there- if only there were some for sale.
Congratulations, John...well done. I would be thrilled to be a published writer, so I can imagine how this makes you feel.
I remember that poem, congratulations!! That's so great, John. Well done, you :)
Congratulations on publication! I love what you've done with this sign here too.
Congratulations! :)
