Before I get to the next competitor, I have another treat to reveal. Over at Kookiejar's fine establishment you can find the Halloween Zombie Edition of The Great Wednesday Compare. She's taken it upon herself and her Book of Evil Spells to resurrect a couple authors from past Wednesday Compares. Head over there to pick the greater of two evils.
But, not to sit back and let Kookiejar hand out all the candy, I've got tricks of my own right here. Last week, it seems, Doyle edged out Christie because of his "immortal" character, Sherlock Holmes. So why not pit immortal character against immortal character- or at least their creators: the creator of Dracula or the creator of Sherlock Holmes.

Who's better?

I'm so glad Sir Arthur won...was worried Agatha Christie would get it again. This week is difficult, but I'm staying with ACD. Sorry, Bram Stoker.
(First time visitor!)
What a great idea! I loved reading all the previous contests.
I have to go with Sir Arthur, as well. Dracula was a good book and an even better concept, but Holmes is, to me, much more enjoyable and fleshed out.
Stoker!
I'm going to go with Doyle again, although I may end up regretting it once I actually read Stoker.
I'm going with Stoker. He gets extra points because it's Hallowe'en.
Hmmm, I picked Christie last time but this time I have to go with ACD. Dracula is good but there is just so much more to Holmes.
It's a tough call for me, but I'm going to go with Doyle, I think.
Same for me, I'll have to stick with Doyle just because I prefer Sherlock. Sorry, Stoker!
Having read them both ... I'm sticking with Conan Doyle ... I really don't like Stoker's writing.
In the Stoker column: I've visited Whitby, where part of his novel is set; Dracula appears on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer;" I loved Elizabeth Kostova's "The Historian."
In the Doyle column: he's a better writer; I love Laurie R. King's Holmes and Russell novels; Data is a fan of Holmes on "Star Trek the Next Generation"...
Oh, whatever. The better writer has to win. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Sorry Sherlock. I have to give it to Dracula!! I got a thing for vampires!! So Stoker it is!!
ACD!
I love the logic and cleverness of Sherlock Holmes, but who makes more of an impression on the psyche? Dracula. So it's got to be Bram.
I'll vote for Doyle; I love a mystery, and even though Holmes is a bit of a prig, he still gets my vote.
Hope everyone had a good Halloween, glad to see some new visitors!
Give me Doyle any time.
I liked Dracula but....
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Most definitely.
Conan Doyle, without a doubt!
