24 Hour Read-a-thon!

If you have a thon and wish to read it, you have 24 hours to do so!

Unfortunately, I'll be too busy with my move to Yellowknife at that point to participate. I've zipped back and forth so many times lately (and heading there again tomorrow) that my carbon footprint is almost as bad as Paul McCartney's. On that note, this message will also serve as my heads up for what might be sporadic blogging for the next little while. I'm not sure when we'll have the internet hooked up or disconnected so please bear with me.

But enough about me. The Read-a-thon will be June 28th, starting at 9 a.m. Pacific. For more details, check out hostess extraordinaire Dewey's site. This is the 2nd time she's held this event and it was an enormous hit the first time around.

Isn't moving just so much fun? I hope it goes well, and remember, after 10 years you are allowed to toss those unopened boxes. You don't need whatever is in them.

Allison: Thanks. I just want it to be mid-July so we're pretty much settled in already.

Barbara: Since 2001 we've moved from Newfoundland to Nunavut to Newfoundland to Nunavut and now to the Northwest Territories. I've decided that I hate moving. Not enough to stay put, obviously, but I hate moving nonetheless.

Tomorrow we're planning on bringing over 20 huge boxes, and tonight I thought I'd broken my thumb at play practice (I'm playing a murderer in Macbeth). I didn't, but it's swollen like a...well, it's swollen really bad...so we'll see how the boxes go. Apparently the play is cursed.

And I thought I had it bad moving from Keele and Finch to Yonge and Eglinton.

Good luck.

Oh, good luck moving! I'm sorry I haven't been in touch with your blog enough to know this already, but is this a move with a new job, or just a change of house?

Thanks for promoting the read-a-thon, too. :)
