Hope it's ok that for my first submission here, I chose to post a review I did a while back. I thought it would be fitting to celebrate my own Hutterite culture in conjunction with Canada Day! I'm grateful to live in this great country that has been home to Hutterites since the early 1900's.
Got my first one done!
John that's my first of the challenge (though I finished it on June 29 and reviewed it on July 2) and, of course, I screwed up the link by forgetting to include the book title. For those interested, it is "Canada" by Richard Ford.
I just added my first review for the 6th challenge, for Jo Walton's Among Others.
Finished my first review 1/13, and have added the link to my review of the Undergardeners.
Shelley
2/13 added my second review: Price of Freedom - an inspiring story of how 2 Romanians came to Canada and now are an amazing singing group, Freedom Singers. If you have a chance to see their concert, don't miss it.
Thanks for this opportunity to share Canadian books.

I finished Hetty Dorval last week and have written my post (added to Mr Linky). That's 2 of 13! :)
Hi everyone. My first time doing this, and I messed up the first two I entered -#49 should say Barb in B.C.(As Far As You'll Take Me), and #50 should say Barb in B.C. (The Fields of Noon). Sorry! And my total so far is 4/13. I guess if I have a theme so far it would be "random", lol. I tend to focus on vintage fiction, so I think I will be looking for rather obscure Canadian-connected books, though I'm sure a few "moderns" will sneak in there!
Just finished my 2nd book!
Sorry - another first timer messing up! I forgot to add the book title and it should read Cat (The Virgin Cure). 1/13
