This is totally off-topic, because I haven't posted a review yet this month (though at least one is coming - I'm reading Robert Louis Fontaine right now) but I just wanted to say I LOVE the new graphics! Nice decorating job, John. The blog looks great, though it gave me pause at first - "Am I in the right place?" ;-)

Carol Shields' life of Jane Austen brings me to 2/13. I like the new layout of your blog, but I am finding the blue text on the brown background very difficult to read.

Mary R: Thanks for the feedback. I've adjusted some of the colours and hope to have made it easier on the eyes. Feedback?

Hi John,

I'm at 21/13. I've been reading lots this summer!

Hope your travels went well!

I am taking a few weeks off and taking some half dozen books with me. Will have more books to report when I get back.

Four books now reviewed.

Feedback: The darker blue you are now using in the body of the blog is much easier to read (thanks!) the right side bar still has the tough-on-the-eyes blue. I really like the montage of book covers you use as the background. I'm glad you didn't eliminate it in the re-design. The monochromatic version is cool.

Nikolski is my first review of this challenge. Off to a slow start, and Sept. doesn't look much better (slated over to Proust!), but by Oct. I should get back on track.
