About three months ago, a Reddit user posed a challenge to come up with the creepiest story possible with just two sentences. Someone using the awkward handle "JustAnotherMuffledVo" did just
that. His or her story was scary as all hell and went viral. I'm not sure why it works for others, but for me and my wife, it probably resonated with us as parents. The next decision the parent has to make in this story is crucial. It's also impossible. I'm getting the willies just thinking about it.
This is the best piece of flash fiction I've read in a long, long time. I hope the strange user name doesn't deter people from taking it seriously, because this deserves to be anthologized. A flash classic in the making.

Aww you think my user name handle is awkward. It was supposed to be witty something about being just another small voice in the vastness of comments that exist on reddit. Never thought anything I'd write would get that much attention though.
