I read some great new books by some of my favourite Canadian mystery authors published this year but for my favourite Canadian book published this year, I think I have to go with
"Sleeping Funny" by Miranda Hill
A collection of short stories I enjoyed immensely. I hadn't heard of the author before and yes, she is Lawrence Hill's wife!
A Red Herring Without Mustard 9/13
And catching up in my Reviews brings me to 35/13.
Pick my favourite read...... you're actually asking me that one? I can only pick one?
Strange Things by Margaret Atwood, The New Canadian Library by Janet B. Friskney, and The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood. That makes brings my total to 11/13,
Happy December, everyone!

I finished #17!
I haven't done many book reviews in the past few months, so was happy to find that my most recent read was by a Canadian author. Children of the Fog by Cheryl Kaye Tardif. She is from Edmonton.
Looks like is is #3 for me.
I just reviewed Looking Around: A Journey Though Architecture, which brings me up to 4, count 'em, 4 books!
19/13
The Mistress of Nothing puts me at 19. And, sad to say, I have not (to my knowledge) read anything at all published this year. Oh, wait. Gaiman's Ocean at the End of the Lane, but that's not Canadian, so no go! :-)
Happy Holidays, fellow readers, in case I'm not on here before the next month rolls around.
